Digital Engineering Basics Webinar Series Part 4:

EM and Lightning Analysis of a Wire Harness in a Drone

On-Demand Now

This webinar explores the process of taking wire harness design from E3.series and driving simulation in Ansys EMA3D. Simulation and analysis tools like Ansys EMA3D perform the technical analysis and validation of a proposed plan to confirm behavior before building a prototype. The data from E3.series drastically reduces the need for manual recreation of the harness for simulation. Using this process, the simulation engineers save time, reduce errors, and get more accurate results. As a result, it is possible to make quick changes and adjustments to the harness and iterate through multiple simulations to reach the optimal target. A demonstration is provided to cover the entire design process that starts with the harness in E3.series, followed by using the information to set up the simulation in Ansys EMA3D Cable , and finally, viewing and understanding the simulation results.

Digital Engineering Basics Webinar Series

As Digital Engineering continues to gain momentum, there are many questions about how to create a product model and the associated design process.  Companies are struggling with the model transition to detailed design and model relevancy throughout the product lifecycle.  Zuken is presenting a multi-part webinar series exploring the Digital Engineering development process utilizing a video drone example.  Part 1 covers a systems engineering approach to model creation.  Part 2 will demonstrate how trade studies are performed on the product model to verify and optimize the architecture.  Part 3 moves the video drone model into the detailed design for wire harness design. Part 4 looks at the simulated analysis of the EM and lightning response of the Wire Harness

Once you have registered for this webinar, you can register for Parts 1, 2, and 3 here:

In this webinar, you’ll learn:

  • How to create and prepare the harness for simulation in E3.serie
