Abstract
Modern products have increasingly complex electronic systems. These systems often include intricately designed wire harnesses. The increasing complexity leads to a greater potential for electromagnetic interference. EMC experts count on EMA3D to model electromagnetic interference pathways. However, reconstructing the relevant portion of the electronic system can take a long time. EMA3D and Zuken have partnered to bridge the gap and seamlessly bring the harness from Zuken's E3.series to EMA3D Cable, allowing the EMC experts to focus on the issue.
This webinar will demonstrate the workflow of importing Zuken-generated KBL files into EMA3D Cable using MHARNESS import. We'll explore the constantly expanding functionality of the MHARNESS import tool, including how EMA3D provides feedback for the user on which harness segments have assigned geometry from either the KBL harness file or the 3D model.
We’ll review the benefits of performing a keyword search to quickly find specific nodes and segments in large harness files after importing the KBL. Examine new functionality to automatically create junctions between conductors that carry the same signal and how the boundary conditions can now be simultaneously applied or removed at terminations for all conductors, shields, and over braids within the harness. Lastly, we’ll demonstrate the revised harness organization in EMA3D's Simulation Tree for easier feedback and control.
