Abstract
In most product development processes, there are costly gaps. A common gap is between the product design and the required configuration of the wire processing machinery used to turn the design into a physical product. Typically, once the design is complete, a technician must manually program the machinery that will build the end product. This programming process requires valuable time and effort that adds cost to the product.
The ideal process would include a direct connection between the wire processing machinery and the product design software.
